The Beginning

I believe in fairy tales.  Not the Disney kind but the kind of fairy tales that you dream up in your head then making them happen.  That is kind of how I feel about decorating my house.  It is just one big fairy tale...a blank canvas for me to dream up ideas and turning them into reality.

I don't have expensive furniture in my home.  Don't get me wrong.  I LOVE beautiful furniture...actually I love all beautiful things in life.  Because of my small budget, I have to get creative with decorating...which is fine because I can do anything I want without worrying if I am going to ruin my expensive furniture.
So we can have an indoor fairy swing.  My own little fairies love it.  Honestly everyone should have a swing in their house.

Almost everything from my house is either from a flea market or from craigslist.  But of course once in awhile, you fall in love with a piece and there is no stopping you from taking it home no matter the price.  This is my "Hello Lover" in Carrie Bradshaw voice mirror.

I like to also think I am the queen of DIYs.  Once in awhile, a girl have to pull out her hammer and a drill and start building things.  I adore my farm table inspired by Marian from Miss Mustard Seed    .  If you have never been to her blog, you have to check it out.  She is so amazing.

I have been known to paint anything and everything that can be painted.  Sometime I run out of things to paint.  Then I have to get creative and use what I have.  This is my old brown refrigerator that needed a serious face lift and here she is.  All pretty and French.
That will be a tutorial post for another time.

I love anything Vintage and whimsy.

Old books are my weakness.  They are all over my house.  Sometimes as a vignette.

Here is my book binders art case.

Or as part of the house.

I can't wait to go on this journey with you.  I hope you got to know me a little bit better.  Let's inspire each other!!

Love,
Victoria
